How is today different from yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that? Today is the day I am finally getting around to starting this blog. I have been meaning to do this for a good long while now, however chronic procrastination and my sincere inability to actually find something interesting to write about have led to a few (many) delays. So without further a due, here we are. It has officially begun (insert crickets). Where it goes from here is anybody’s guess, but at least I feel I am moving in the right direction.
I think it is a good idea to start with a brief description of what I am actually trying to accomplish here. My goal, first and foremost, is to share my passion for photography, my photos themselves, and to try to explain how and why I ended up so obsessed with this wonderful hobby. Hopefully a few of you will enjoy my ramblings, a few will get hooked on photography themselves, a few will learn something new (this is highly unlikely), and a few (hopefully a small few) will declare me a boring hack. Either way I will drum on, if for no better reason than my own self gratification.
I must say I am looking forward to this, and the opportunity that comes with it. There is no better way for a person to gauge where they are photographically than to put their work out there and see the response it generates. Its exciting, motivating, scary, and makes me feel nauseous just at the thought of it. There is no feeling quite like it and good or bad I believe I am ready for it.
